Remembrance Day 2018

In preparation for Remembrance Day, 2018 Howie and the crew got the green ready, and Pat and Radka helped Sue put another 400 poppies on sticks, to add to last year’s poppies and flags.  Then, when all was ready, Kim brought along children and parents from West Bay Elementary School, ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 7, to create our Remembrance garden.

Thank you to the Janice and the Legion for the poppies, and to Tim for the candies.  Thanks also to Deb who saved the day with delicious cookies, the ability to make hot chocolate and some great photographs.  And last, but certainly not least, thank you to Joan for having the original idea.  One boy from Grade 4 announced it was so much fun he would be coming every year from now on !
