Victoria Day 2018

How lucky are we to have flowers we can use from our own gardens, to have Jane and Keith setting up tables, to have Jackie buttering, and Moraig and Kathy making the best sandwiches (with a huge thank you to City Market for donating the loaves)!

Attached is a film of the spider; Flo very generously donated a bottle of Scotch to the winner, which was Wally.

Thanks also to Joan for selling tickets to the Victoria Tea, along with a huge thank you to Richard for leading us in the National Anthem in honour of Queen Victoria’s 199th birthday, a hurrah for  Prince Harry, her great, great, great, great grandson and his wife Meghan.  Thank you to our bakers Susan, Gerry and Joan, and to all those who helped serve and clear up, especially Mary and Joan.

There were 41 of us enjoying the sunshine, the company and the food.  Always good to have our social members joining us and to meet our new members!

Sue
