6th Annual Midsummer Greens

Saturday July 27, 2019, beautiful, generous, kind-hearted young people arrived for the 6th Annual Midsummer Greens, hosted by Progressive Vancouver and Living Space Homes.

Each year this event outdoes itself, raising thousands of dollars for the Royal Columbian Neonatal Unit.  There was a string quartet welcoming people at the gate, and a jazz group played while people practised.  There was live music throughout, Nude Vodka and Veuve Clicquot champagne, food by the Village Taphouse, an art piece, clothing sponsors and a giant jack that I’m sure we could all reach, but maybe not throw!

A massive thank you to Grethe for making sure my scoring added up, to Tim, Don, Roberta, Keith, Jane, Dave and Coca, Michael, Monica and Radka for helping with green set up, take down and the worst job of all, sorting the bowls into the right boxes and bags, in the heat.

Now it’s our turn to run our very own collaborative event – the Heritage Club Games –  on Saturday August 17.
